The Treatment

Why this exists

Also called a booty facial — the same clinical skin treatment people book for their face, except the target area is the glutes. Body breakouts (usually folliculitis, not true acne) and hyperpigmentation from friction are extremely common, especially in active people. Regular face care doesn't reach this area; regular body wash doesn't clear congestion.

The protocol: deep cleanse → exfoliation → professional extractions for ingrown hairs and clogged follicles → brightening treatment for darkening → calming mask or LED. Sixty minutes that targets exactly what soap and lotion can't handle.

Monthly during a correcting phase if you have active issues. Every 6-8 weeks for maintenance. Common pairings: consistent in-shower body exfoliation, a dedicated body acne wash (benzoyl peroxide), and friction-reducing clothing choices.

Best for
  • "Butt acne" / folliculitis
  • Ingrown hairs from shaving or waxing
  • Darkening from friction (often thighs/glute fold)
  • Texture and roughness
  • Active people with frequent sweat + workout-wear contact
  • Anyone with breakouts on the body

FAQ

Butt Facial Questions

What is a butt facial?

Same concept as a face facial, for the glutes: cleanse, exfoliate, extract congestion, apply treatment masks, and finish with calming products. Addresses body breakouts, ingrown hairs, darkening/hyperpigmentation, and textural concerns that show up on the butt — especially common in active people who sweat and sit in workout clothes.

Who is this for?

Anyone dealing with 'butt acne' (usually folliculitis, not true acne), ingrown hairs, darkening from friction, texture from shaving, or just wanting smoother skin. Common in people who work out frequently or spend extended time seated.

What's the recovery?

None. Mild redness after extractions settles within an hour. Clients are comfortable in normal clothing immediately. Avoid tight workout leggings for 24 hours if you had aggressive extractions.

How often should I book?

Monthly in the correcting phase if addressing active breakouts or hyperpigmentation. Every 6-8 weeks for maintenance once skin is clear.

Is it awkward?

We get the question a lot. Short answer: no — we do these regularly and it's treated exactly like a facial. You're draped appropriately, only the treatment area is exposed, and the focus is clinical.

How is a butt facial different from a regular facial?

Same techniques and many of the same products — exfoliators, serums, masks, sometimes LED light therapy. The difference is targeting butt-specific concerns: clogged pores from sitting and sweat, body breakouts (folliculitis), ingrown hairs from shaving or waxing, and pigmentation from friction. The treatment routine is calibrated for thicker, more resilient body skin.
