Yes. XERF pairs well with Sculptra, Renuva, and hyaluronic acid filler; the question is the order. At Skinsation LA, biostimulators go first, about four to six weeks before a XERF series, and HA filler waits until after the second XERF session. The reason is heat: XERF works by warming the deeper layers of the skin, and that heat has to be planned around anything you have injected.
Why the order matters
XERF is a next-generation, non-invasive radiofrequency treatment. Controlled RF energy warms the deeper layers of the skin, which produces an immediate collagen contraction and, over the following weeks, stimulates new collagen for firmer, more elastic skin. There are no needles and no injectables; a mild flush after the session typically fades within 30 to 60 minutes. Most clients complete a series of two to four sessions and then come back for yearly maintenance.
Two of the injectables in this conversation are collagen and volume builders that work on their own clock. Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, a collagen stimulator: rather than filling, it prompts your own fibroblasts to build new collagen over six to twelve weeks, which is why it is planned as two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, with the real change emerging at about six weeks and continuing for three to six months. Renuva is an injectable allograft adipose matrix, a natural scaffold that your own cells move into and replace with new fat tissue over roughly three to six months, with swelling in the treated area for several days up to about two weeks.
Hyaluronic acid dermal filler is different in kind. It adds volume immediately, settles over about two weeks, and stays in place as a gel until the body breaks it down. Heat is one of the things that speeds that breakdown, which is why our filler aftercare guide keeps treated areas away from saunas and hot yoga. Published research on how energy-based devices interact with HA fillers has produced mixed findings, and some studies suggest that leaving more time between filler placement and a radiofrequency session may lower the risk of degrading the filler compared with treating too soon afterward.
Put those clocks side by side and the sequence writes itself. Collagen builders want a head start before the RF series begins. A gel filler wants to stay out from under the handpiece altogether.
Sculptra and Renuva go first

That window is not arbitrary. It is also the natural gap between Sculptra sessions, so a XERF series slots into the calendar you already have.
Renuva follows the same logic for a simpler reason: its swelling window runs several days to about two weeks, and the head start lets the treated area settle completely before the handpiece works across it.

Filler waits until after XERF
For HA filler the recommendation runs the other way. In the same reel: "If you're going to do fillers, I recommend waiting after your second session of XERF, and you can do your fillers immediately post." The filler goes in after the RF series has done its tightening work, so the product is never sitting in tissue that is about to be heated. Because the filler is placed after a session rather than before one, same-day treatment is possible, and whether it happens that day is decided at the visit.

What a combined plan can look like
- First: a Sculptra or Renuva session, with its own aftercare (the 5-5-5 massage protocol for Sculptra; swelling care for Renuva).
- Four to six weeks later: XERF session one. The series of two to four sessions is scheduled at your consult.
- After XERF session two: HA filler, which can be placed right after the session.
- Then: yearly XERF maintenance, Sculptra maintenance vials every 18 to 24 months, and filler touch-ups on the product's own schedule.
That is the shape, not a prescription. Your Sculptra series may already be under way when XERF comes up, or filler may be the only injectable in the picture; the order holds, the dates move.
