How long does Kybella last?

Kybella may be administered by your provider at several injection sites, depending on the patient’s unique anatomy. The treatment can take as little as 10 minutes to administer. You might experience some pain and bruising in the treated area, but most patients find the process relatively non-invasive. In fact, with Kybella, our trained staff will inject up to ten sites where fat is localized, including the chin, neck, inner thighs, and arm area. Effects can be seen after 12 weeks and are meant to last for years.

What is Kybella used for?

Kybella is a prescription injectable used to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin. It is an FDA-approved medicine that belongs to a class of medicines known as deoxycholic acid (DCA) agents. DCA works to break down fat cells in an area where they are present in too high a concentration.

 

To determine if you are a good candidate, our providers will examine your neck and jawline to see if there are areas with moderate to severe fat that can be improved upon through Kybella.

 

Please note that Kybella cannot be combined with other treatments not approved by the FDA. Clients with allergies to lidocaine should not take Kybella as well.
