San Antonio Winery is the center of winemaking and wine culture in LA since it has been opened to business in 1917. In fact, it is the last producing winery in LA and up until today, it continues to handcraft wines from estate vineyards in viticultural areas throughout the state of California such as the Napa Valley, Paso Robles, and Monterey. Over the years, it was able to produce countless high-quality wines.

San Antonio Winery is owned and operated by the Riboli Family. The founder, Santo Cambianical was from Lombardia, Italy. He was passionate about wine. At a young age, he learned how to make simple table wines for family and friends. He moved to the United States and established a winery in Lincoln Heights. He created sacramental wines for churches and local parishes of LA County. California’s wine industry was moved from the Southern part of the state to the central and northern parts in the mid-1900s.

However, at that time, Santo and Stefano, his nephew didn’t have the intention to move their business. They come up with ways to keep their business afloat without changing their location. They eventually decided to focus on the burgeoning wine regions in the North. They eventually acquired vineyard properties in some of the high-end areas of LA. Since then, San Antonio Winery has been the talk of the town because of its reputation for producing high-quality wines.
