There are many kinds of chemical peels available (or facials if they are done on the skin). There are many chemical peels available to treat various skin problems, including discoloration and fine lines. It is crucial to choose the right chemical peel for you. The results of a peel can last for months to years if you use good sun protection.The longer lasting effects are generally associated with deeper peels. Here are some instructions to follow after getting a chemical peel with Skinsation LA:
  • Your skin is going to be much more sensitive to sunlight so make sure to use sunscreen with a SPF of 20 or more to protect your skin.
  • After your peel, we recommend that you limit sun exposure for at most one week.
  • Avoid doing strenuous exercise for at least two days. The perspiration can cause skin irritation.
  • Avoid rubbing your face with a scrubber. Instead, wash your face gently.
  • Do not “help the skin peel”. A light moisturizer can be used to control peeling.
  • You should not use any other facial treatments for at least one week following treatment.
